> 11. Rin.tmp
- we are greeted by a slowly crumbling tree, which previously held Rin, now restored and free from it. She levitates down but stumbles, unused to walking
- she bows to us, stating her intent to be of use to us '.. and to Tump'
- she apologizes for essentially tricking us, but repeats that fixing her up was necessary to 'our' continued survival (hers included, and maybe some others too)
- apparently Silicia reported back to her about our progress during the irl arc
- Rin aknowledges that she can't really prove her motive's moral purity to us, and promptly suggests we go free Pristum/Cris
- she says he's kept her imprisoned here a long time, only able to watch, implying it was because she resisted losing herself the way Alec and Cris did. Thus she was to wait here until the completion of C I E C E
- ultimately, she wants to 'release' Plectum and Lia too (not just 'her Cris'), meaning getting them out of the system somehow
- allegedly, Tump agrees with this plan. She claims to have met him before 'losing sight of him'
- at Caen's scepticism she reveals that they do all still have their bodies, kept alive by machinery, though inhabiting them again would drive them crazy with pain and confine them to said machines
- according to her, this is why Pristum & Plectum were looking for new vessels. Then, Tump's presence in the system distracted the company enough that Plectum & Lia could find a way control the chips & take over
- she doesn't know if this means they now actually could use a vessel, but is certain they won't do it without taking Tump with, and that ultimately, it will neither make them happy nor be very good for the rest of the world
- 'so, that is why Tump and I decided to give them what they really want. Their true freedom': This is what she wants our help with
- Rin suggests we let Pristum think himself free again, while she protects us if he comes after us. 'After all his.. "angels" have been defeated, we can finally put him to rest'
- we ask for a demonstration of the power she will defend us with, and she gives us a little light show, making us float and 'feel energised'. Caen checks the amulet, which is glowing blue
- Red suggests she punch them for demonstration, or block their knife attack. She is quite resigned to our recalcitrance at this point
- she catches Red's knife with two fingers, shatters it, and reforms it for them. This wins over Caen, but Red insist on being punched
- they are flung through the file's interior wall, through the in-between corridors, and into the wall of the menu. They survive relatively unscathed due to a layer of white and blue code around their body she conjured, and seem to have enjoyed the experience greatly
- she says she only wields about a quarter of the power Plectum does, but her plan to get Pristum relies mostly on the element of surprise anyway
- her plan for defeating Plectum seems much less set in stone. He will able to sense her in the system when she leaves the file, while she can hide her presence from Pristum especially while he's still imprisoned. This means we will have to fight on our own before she can join for the final blows
- Rin asks us to go tell Plectum not to talk to Pristum about her, and offers to send one of the clones of her from before with us, though they cannot talk
- what she did to protect Red earlier is not as repeatable as it seemed; apparently she can conjure us a shield exactly once without harming the system?
- she advises we act like we fell for Pristum's plan when we let him out to lure him into a sense of security
- she gives us one free pruification and sends us on our way
✎﹏ she never refers to Lia by name, assuming we don't know her name (which logically we probably shouldn't)
